BOOK BLURB

Sometimes you have to risk everything to find your something…

Andrew works with death for a living. Searching for people’s next of kin and attending the funerals if they don’t have anyone, he’s desperate to avoid the same fate for himself. Which is fine, because he has the perfect wife and 2.4 children waiting at home for him after a long day. At least, that’s what he’s told people.

The truth is, his life isn’t exactly as people think and the little white lie he once told is about to catch up with him.

Because in all Andrew’s efforts to fit in, he’s forgotten one important thing: how to really live. And maybe, it’s about time for him to start.

BOOK REVIEW.

Luck was on my side this year as I won two proofs of the book Something To Live For. Not my usual kind of read but blogging has opened up avenues I would not usually consider and for that I will always be grateful. So back to the book. Do you want to be left bereft, moved to almost teary vision, yet ultimately uplifted and satisfied. Then this could be that book.

It’s a journey through loneliness and grief , seemingly endless but there could be light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t say too much as I don’t want to drop any spoilers. Sometimes your day to day work life can be filled with company and friendship, it’s when you close your front door on the world that loneliness can seep in. How do you cope with those lonely hours , get a hobby , go to pubs or build a fantasy life to fill the hours. This book tackles the life of such a lonely person. It does so with charm, sensitivity, humour, almost as though it’s the authors life in focus. You feel the pain and grief the author is writing about, it gets under your skin. Don’t be down on the book though it is a joyful read. You could be  that person , you might  know that person so reach out and touch life . You might get a little singed around the edges at times but you need to make most of what you have, and if you have a lot then share what you  with those around. Reach out in friendship it might be the best move of your life.

Thank you to Katie Morris and  Orion books for the proof as always these are my own thoughts and opinions.
