BOOK BLURB

Supernatural beings are willing to fight for their legal rights!

Since the Summer of Love, the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco has been known for attracting weird and unconventional souls, but things got even stranger when the monsters moved in.

Magic has returned to the world and with it a host of supernatural creatures—not just vampires and ghosts, but sentient gargoyles, ghouls, sprites, faeries, and more. The frightened citizenry, holier-than-thou bigots, headline-seeking reporters, and harried police refer to them as OTs (Other-Than-Humans), but Thomas Brock and Evelyn Love believe even supernatural creatures have legal rights.

Delve into their case files for a genre-bending mix of mystery, horror, suspense, thrills, courtroom drama, and romance. The city’s OT element is sometimes malevolent, sometimes misunderstood, and often discriminated against. Brock and Love represent them all, dead, undead, or alive—whatever the case, whatever the species.

BOOK REVIEW

The legal team that is Thomas Brock and and Evelyn Love are back with four more crimes that they need to solve. Along with their oddball team of friends they strive to help the O-T population of San Francisco have the representation they need to get along in life or in death as the case maybe. Thomas has adjusted to his new incarnation and his abilities are now helping their cases more than ever. The skills that their friend and PI, Dagger has kept secret are now brought to the fore as the team track down missing zombies. Yes missing zombies!. Thomas and Evelyn are also still up agains his father who cant and wont accept that O-T’s have a place in the world. Even though his son is a spectral being Reginald Brock will still stop at nothing to destroy every last other worldly creature. With help from Gretchen the teams secretary and Pete the gargoyle, Brock and Love go from strength to strength in their fight for justice for the Other- Than Humans that live in the district of Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco.

I jumped straight into this book as soon as I had finished the first book of the series. It was just that compelling , fun and intriguing reading book one that i had to find out if this one was as good. Ok I also I wanted to see what other delightfully different creatures they could summon up to give the team new challenges. Once again it was a book filled with fun and high jinks along side serious issues raised by different species living together in close proximity. It’s a book full of urban fantasy, mythical creatures and some tongue in cheek fun taking. Especially the part where Zombies are “ chasing humans “ as part of a game. A game where the Zombies earn a living and the humans get the thrill of being hunted by them. If you enjoy a world inhabited by talking gargoyles, nixies, werewolves, vampires and ghosts but without too much gore and horror than these are the books for you. I look forward to more books in the series and more adventures in the weird and wonderful imaginative world created by the authors.

My thanks to Echo Shea for the book and tour invite. As always they are my thoughts and opinions on the book.
